Abstract

Parallels in the Tragedy of M. Auezov and L. Sobolev "Abay" with the Drama of S. Vurgun "Vagif"
In the presented material in a comparative-comparative plan, the thematic-substantial and genre-compositional features of the drama of the Azerbaijani poet Samad Vurgun "Vagif" and the Kazakh and Russian writers Mukhtar Auezov and Leonid Sobolev of the tragedy "Abai" are studied. (Note that L. Sobolev is presented here with the aim that M. Auezov could avoid persecution). Both artists of the word M. Auezov (1897 - 1961) and S. Vurgun (1906 - 1956) lived and worked in almost the same historical era. The protagonists of their works were rebellious poets. One of them - Vagif lived in the 18th century. (1717 - 1797), and Abai in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries. (1845 - 1904). Each of them played an extremely important role in the history and culture of their people. Vagif, being a poet, was at the same time the vizier of the Karabakh khanate, who fought to preserve the integrity of this khanate. In addition, Vagif was also a great educator, striving for the purity and development of the Azerbaijani literary language. Abai, as a teacher, educator and poet, also played an outstanding role in the struggle for popular ideals, for the establishment of the Kazakh literary language and for the development of a democratic wing and views on native literature. He, with his versatile creativity, took a new look at the personality, at the socio-political, cultural and literary issues of his native Kazakh people, developed in his work the realistic direction of art. Based on the responsibilities and tasks assigned to them by fate, each of the authors, S. Vurgun and M. Auezov (since L. Sobolev, as a representative of Russian literature, was just a cover for M. Auezov. All his life he was persecuted by the authorities for his freedom-loving and democratic views. For many years he was under disgrace, spent a year and a half in prison, miraculously escaped repression and execution. After all, in the terrible Soviet years, the cream of Kazakh literature, who lived and worked in the name of his native culture, were repressed or shot) intended to fulfill their mission before the fighters of folk culture. Proceeding from these goals, introducing their readers and viewers, S. Vurgun with Vagif, M. Auezov with Abai, managed to present these images in all their glory, in contradiction with the existing reality, with a very complex and ambiguous era. The main characters of each of these plays are closely connected with the society around them, Abai - with the Kazakh, Vagif - with the Azerbaijani national environment. In each of these plays there are two camps: images of positive and negative characters, opposing all innovations that could serve the national interests. Let us note how exceptional important artistic examples, the drama of S. Vurgun "Vagif" and the tragedy of M. Auezov and L. Sobolev "Abai" played an invaluable role in the development of national drama and theater.
