Abstract


University Rankings: Quality, Recognizability or Quantity
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are in a rush on finding a high ranking in international ranking lists. This is crucial for them as ranking means more recognizability and fame. Recently, one of Europe’s prestigious universities announced that it withdraws international university rankings, Times Higher Education (THE). The university announced that ranking creates false incentives. Current paper is devoted to address universities’ struggle in finding a high rank in international ranking lists.
